According to the current legislation of Ukraine, foreigners who are citizens of countries with a visa entry procedure, as well as stateless persons may temporarily stay in Ukraine during the visa period, but not more than the last day of the visa.
Citizens of countries with visa-free entry may temporarily stay in Ukraine for no more than 90 days for a period of 180 days from the date of control (unless otherwise specified by international treaties of Ukraine). However, having a residence permit, a non-resident can stay within our state permanently or temporarily. Upon receipt of a residence permit, a foreigner has the same rights as a citizen of Ukraine, except for the right to vote and purchase agricultural land.
To obtain a permanent or temporary residence permit, a foreigner must collect the necessary package of documents and submit it to any territorial unit of the Migration Service.
